Let’s Get Started

Step 1: Gather your ingredients and tools you will need.

Step 2: Place eggs in the skimmer and lower into the saucepan.

Step 3: Add enough cold water to cover the eggs by about 1 inch. This will ensure that the eggs cook evenly and have enough space to expand as they heat.

Step 4: Now, remove the eggs with the skimmer and set aside.

Step 5:Place the saucepan on the stove over medium-high heat. Turn on the heat to bring the water to a rolling boil.

Step 5: Once the water comes to a rolling boil, lower the eggs using the simmer and let the eggs boil for about 14 minutes using a timer, for hard boiled eggs with fully set yolk.

Step 6: While the eggs are boiling, prepare a bowl of ice water. This will be used to stop the cooking process and cool the eggs quickly, which helps with peeling later on.

Step 7: Use a skimmer to remove eggs from boiling water After the eggs have finished boiling for the desired time, and transfer them to the ice water bath. This will stop the cooking process and cool the eggs quickly.

Step 8: Let the eggs sit in the ice water bath for about 5 minutes to cool completely and stop the cooking process. This will also make the eggs easier to peel later on.

Step 9: After the eggs have cooled in the ice water bath, gently tap them on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel them under running water or in the ice water bath. Once peeled, the hard-boiled eggs are ready to be enjoyed as is, or used in salads, sandwiches, or other dishes.

And that's it! Following these steps should result in perfectly hard-boiled eggs with fully set yolks and easy-to-peel shells. Enjoy your hard-boiled eggs!
